Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2012:1540 advisory.

- kernel: rds-ping cause kernel panic (CVE-2012-2372)

- kernel: net: slab corruption due to improper synchronization around inet->opt (CVE-2012-3552)

- kernel: ext4: AIO vs fallocate stale data exposure (CVE-2012-4508)

- kernel: xen: VCPU timer overflow leads to PCPU deadlock and host death-by-watchdog (CVE-2012-4535)

- kernel: xen: Memory mapping failure can crash Xen (CVE-2012-4537)

- kernel: xen: XENMEM_exchange may overwrite hypervisor memory (CVE-2012-5513)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
