Description

The remote CentOS Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the pixman-0.40.0-6.el9 build changelog.

- In libpixman in Pixman before 0.42.2, there is an out-of-bounds write (aka heap-based buffer overflow) in rasterize_edges_8 due to an integer overflow in pixman_sample_floor_y. (CVE-2022-44638)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the CentOS 9 Stream pixman package.
