Synopsis

The version of Apple iOS running on the mobile device is affected by an arbitrary code execution vulnerability.

Description

The version of Apple iOS running on the mobile device is prior to 12.5.6. It is, therefore, affected by an out-of-bounds write issue. Processing maliciously crafted web content can lead to arbitrary code execution. This was addressed with improved bounds checking.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Apple iOS version 12.5.6 or later
