Synopsis

The version of Apple iOS running on the mobile device is affected by a out-of-bounds write vulnerability.

Description

The version of Apple iOS running on the mobile device is prior to 15.4.1. It is, therefore, affected by out-of-bounds write vulnerability. An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. An malicious application can exploit this to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Apple iOS version 15.4.1 or later
