Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 / 7 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2018:1711 advisory.

- Kernel: KVM: error in exception handling leads to wrong debug stack value (CVE-2018-1087)

- hw: cpu: speculative store bypass (CVE-2018-3639)

- Kernel: error in exception handling leads to DoS (CVE-2018-8897)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL rhev-hypervisor7 package based on the guidance in RHSA-2018:1711.
